PRIMITIVE BOWHUNTER
Efficient stretchclamps beat all the spring clamps. Sold by the pair. Sure beats the cost of a box full of spring clamps. Takes up less space too. Highly efficient . Works excellent with the shrink wrap. shrink wrap . After using stretch clamps you will never go back to conventional clamps.
Instructions
1. Stretchclamps are thick and stretch out to cover every square centimeter of the area to be glued, where regular spring clamps cannot be spaced to cover every square centimeter of surface area.
1. Easy to handle and faster to wrap than applying spring clamps. Ypou will also never need to worry about overclamping and smashing out all the glue from too much pressure. Wont have to wrry about underclamping eather as these stretch clamps are consistantly strong and do not loose clamping strength over time.
1. Simply apply glue to both glue surfaces as normal
dont gorget to use a toothing plane and prepare both surfaces so the glue can have something to grab. Some guys use a hacksaw blade. deep grooves without rounding off the corners are super important especially on harder woods such as hickory or osage .
1. put both pieces together. be careful to wear gloves if using glues that are may be toxic.
1. Wrap the bow with seran wrap or shrink wrap to prevent the glue from sticking to the stretch clamps . This also keeps the pieces in place while wrapping the stretch clamps on.
1. Wrap the stretch clamps onto the bow . Apply a little elbow grease and muscle .You do not really need to overlap as in this picture . Just touch each wrap and a pair of these can easily wrap a 72" bow.
1. Eather put a small clamp onto the end or use tape to keep the stretch clamp from unraveling. These really are faster and easier than conventional clamps. Sure costs less than 50-100 spring clamps. These stretch clamps can be used over and over and over.
1.To add reflex or recurves just give the bow a little clamping action with a single clamp and a block while wrapped with the stretch clamp . Adds serious speed to any bow with a backing of Ash, hickory or bamboo.
