HOW TO: INSTALL YOUR FUR STRING SILENCERS

1. Separate your two bundles in your flemish string.(for continuous strings split strands into two separate bundles)  fig 1.

2. insert one end into gap,(so you will be wrapping silencer with the twist of the string) just enough to start to see it on the other side. pull the hair back away from the string to keep it out of the string. fig 2.

3. Twist bundles (string) back to its normal twist. twist it up tight to help hold the end of the silencer.fig 3.

4. Now wrap the silencer around the string keeping the edges of the leather touching, pull the hair out of the way as you wrap it. Keep it tight as you wrap it.

5. When you get to the end you will again separate the bundles and insert the end again. remember to pull the hair back so you just insert the leather into the strings. then again twist it tight back to its original state. fig 4.

6. Now string your bow, this will tighten things up, you should leave it strung for about an hour or you can shoot some also this will tighten it up well and it will remain a part of your string also keeping your string well waxed will help not only your string but keep your silencers tight.
fig 5.

7. This will give you just over a 2" long silencer. if you put on a very long and very wide silencer you will start to change your string velocity, amount of resistance and is not necessary. We sell these silencers on our accessory page and have a large variety of colors.
